Every tooth has between one and four root canals. They are the tiny passageways the branch off your tooth’s root. Many dental problems involve infections and it is common for the roots to be affected as your problem worsens. A diseased tooth can cause dental pain, extreme sensitivity, and even abscesses.
If you need a root canal, our office can treat the problem promptly with root canal therapy. This state-of-the-art treatment method will remove diseased tissue, stop infection from spreading, and save your tooth.
Your root canal therapy procedure will be completed in one to three visits. During that time, we'll remove diseased tissue, clean and disinfect the inner chamber of your tooth, reshape the tiny canals, and fill the chamber with an elastic material. You'll find that this procedure is generally pain-free.
Did you know that oral cancer is one of the most common cancers? Men over the age of 40 are more likely to develop oral cancer than anyone else. You can reduce the risk of oral cancer by avoiding tobacco and alcohol. During your appointment, a dentist will examine your mouth for signs of oral cancer.
If you are missing more than one tooth, a bridge is an excellent solution for you. Bridges are dental appliances that look, feel, and function like real teeth.
Bridges are custom-made and are also known as partial dentures. They are semi-permanent and are attached using implants or dental bonding. We offer fixed dental bridges, conventional dental bridges, cantilever bridges, and resin-bonded bridges.
After a root canal or dental restoration, a crown may be necessary. A crown is a synthetic cap made of porcelain. It will be placed on top of your root canal and simulate your natural tooth.
A crown can also be used to attach a bridge, cover implants, or prevent a cracked tooth from worsening.
Your crown will be custom designed to replace your existing tooth. An impression will be made, and we will send it away to a lab to be created. With proper care, a good-quality crown will last for at least eight years.
Maintain your crown for as long as possible by regularly flossing and brushing your teeth.
You can prevent most dental problems with good oral hygiene and regular visits to the dentist. Natural and restored teeth thrive in a clean environment! You can prevent new cavities from forming, maintain restored teeth, and control periodontal disease by visiting us regularly!
